Third Floor Cantina is a great club that Tracy used to play before and she was back this weekend after a long break. It was a pretty nice evening. There was an opening band that night and they were very good: Kelly Doze and her band. They played around 70 minutes and did a good job, the crowd liked them.
The only bad thing about opening bands is that they make Tracy's set a little shorter than usual so she got onstage around 10h50-11h00. Roger Tausz wasn't present so Leyland Parks played the bass and did an excellent job like last time I saw him with Tracy in Dallas. The crowd was pretty good and they sure enjoyed Tracy's great performance. Unfortunately the break came pretty late (1h00am) so a lot of people left and missed the shorter second set of Tracy. Too bad it was quite something! She started by dedicating "Red House" to Clyde, a huge Tracy fan who was present and in the middle of a guitar solo she suddently jumped from the stage onto my table then from my table onto his table to play close to him, jumping on the table and all that stuff, that was funny! Another unusual thing is that she finished the show by playing "Third stone from the sun", I think Its the first time I saw her play that. A lot of Hendrix that night. Also other very rare occurence, Tracy used an accoustic guitar for 2 songs (There for me and Angel) and that sounded great! In short, great evening again, here's some pictures:
