Tracy Conover live at the Hideaway, Houston, TX, April 24th, 2004.

This Saturday Tracy was playing at the Hideaway on Dunvale street, Houston, a regular place for her and a very nice bar to enjoy her music.

A few things made this show different than ususal. First she started the show by herself since Roger the bass player told her he would be a little bit late. She played "rest my wings" and "Angel" like that and after that the band joined her. And the first song they played really surprised me because I never heard them play that before, and it is my favourite Stevie Ray Vaughan song: Texas Flood. That was great! Once again her first set was very long and the people in the club really enjoyed the music, I think they did some good business at the merchandise sales. After the break they did another great set. It's always really cool when Tracy let Charlie and Roger do little solos during Calvin's boogie! A guest bassist joined Tracy and Charlie during at least 4-5 songs and that was very interesting too. After that Roger came back to play his rock n' roll tune but unfortunately it was already 2h00am so that was the end of the show, even though everybody was ready for more.

I never thought I would go to this show because we had some BBQ party at work this Saturday but when I realized it was so boring and almost nobody showed up because of the rain, I decided to leave and go to Houston, and that was a wise decision! That was such a better day than last week in College Station. Once again, thanks to Tracy and Wes for being so totally cool with me this weekend.

By the way, I had the chance to listen to the stuff that will be on the live album coming out soon and it sounds GREAT!! Tracy believes it will be available for the first time at the end of May at the Cactus Moon show, don't miss that!
